SS Whelk Columns are Pirkle-type chiral HPLC columns based on the S,S selector configuration for enantiomeric separation, pharmaceutical enantiomer analysis and API impurity profiling.
SS Whelk Columns use π–π interaction, hydrogen bonding, dipole interaction and steric fit to discriminate enantiomers. They are useful in normal phase, polar organic and selected reversed-phase methods and can complement polysaccharide chiral phases when racemates need alternate selectivity.
